The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Applied Studies complies its study programs pursuing School’s essential tasks and objectives inclining realisation of all seven study programs. The School systematically and effectually plans, implements, supervises, evaluates and improves quality of the above mentioned study programs.
Epitome of credentials meets requirements for tasks and objectives of both undergraduate and post-graduate study programs. Modules are divided into mandatory and optional. Mandatory modules provide acquiring of necessary knowledge and skills while optional modules process contents adjusted to the individual needs of each student.
In order to profoundly optimise optional modules, students have option to comprehend modules from all seven study programs. Furthermore, students may decide who shall be their lecturer. Finally, within framework of most of the modules, students have possibility to choose method of fulfilling obligations regarding lectures, tutorials and exams.
Freedom of choice started in 1997 and it is gradually increasing ever since. This method of using freedom of choice throughout education is reflected in following advantages:
- Curricula of the study programs is adjusted to the interests
- Students’ abilities and needs
- Curricula of the study programs are subjected to adjusting to the needs of labour market helping in job seeking and fast adjusting to the working environment.
- Improved student-lecturer communication
- Working in small groups since modules are selected individually.
